Hey guys,
How are you enjoying the Korean autumn? It's getting pretty cold in this part of Seoul
Anyways, not to make it any colder but, I was wondering if you American EFL teachers could share some input about this:
I know that we'll have to pay social security taxes on our income, but is it really 15% of our gross income? It just struck me and that sounds like a lot lol and I never remember it being so much.
I tried to go to the www.ssa.gov and www.socialsecurity.gov but those websites wouldn't open, unfortunately.
Anyways, any insight on this would be very helpful.
Thanks in advance!

| uh no you dont, foreign income doesnt count. when you leave korea you can have your pension fund contributions credited to social security, which will help you qualify for a higher benefit when you retire but 99% of the people i know take the cash |
