(Split off, because I think it's moving off the original topic and deserves it's own thread)

So, let me get this straight- you married because she is capable of being independent, but you should get the final say in matters.

If you go into a rational discussion with the expectation that you shouuld automatically have the final say, doesn't that mean that the rational discussion is essentially a waste of time? It doesn't sound like you value that independence much.

Alot of Korean women are very well-educated, very intelligent, have alot of independent thought, and definetely quite independent and healthy and of their own mind.. even if its a determinely Korean mind.

In my experience, any seemingly 'submissive' woman is lying to you.. and the truth will come out.. there is no such thing as a truly 'submissive' human being.. if they do that.. its a lure to catch you.. and once they got you.. you'll be caught in the web.. muahahahaha

Why do we have to define marriage along gender lines?

Could Giant's comments be religiously based? From what I see, fundamentalist Christians are primary advocates of the woman must be submissive line.
