| So I went to my first club night in Hongdae last weekend. I haven't gone out too much since I've been here so I wasn't sure what to expect. Let me just say that you guys all rock! I'm not sure if I met anyone who uses ESL Cafe, but those who I did meet were very interesting. There was the occasional drunk idiot who stumbled by yelling "I Love Japan", but by the most part everyone I talked to had a great story to tell, and was extremely nice. If only I could party with people like you guys back in Toronto. I'm looking forward to this weekend! |

I was also in Hongdae last weekend. We obviously did not go to the same places.
Actually, I definitely saw Tiger Beer there but I didn't want him to punch me on my head so I didn't say hello or anything.

| If you are going to hang out in night clubs, beware of the dude in the john who gives you a massage while you are whizzing, then expects a tip. He is not gay; he's paid by the club to give 'service' to the customers. |

Yeah I've had this and sometimes they do it without asking. i'll go with the flow and then when they ask for money I'll laugh and say you didn't ask me if I wanted it, just did it. So here is your tip which is usually 100 won. |
