Why is America the only nation in the world in which a majority of the public tends to support Israel's foreign policy? Do they really care so much about the lives of 6 million Israelis even though they ignore hundreds of millions of others who could dearly use their support? Is there any sort of imagined economic benefit behind all the ideological babble? Is it because they're so flattered that, besides ex-poodle Blair, Israel is the only government that publically pretends to be America's friend?
I really don't get what such a selfish nation could see in it for them. |

That's a rather lopsided and drolly statement from a liberal. Israel is our little brother. It is our duty to protect them. Israel is a bastion of freedom in a sea of Tyrants. Better to eliminate the scum of the area, than the highlights. |

40% of Jews live in the US

Then compound that by their enormous influence on Wall Street, banking, entertainment, and the media.
(note: I'm not saying that their influence is a bad thing.) |

While that 40% includes some very vocal, influential, and active Zionists the majority of them in fact do not support Israel's futher expansion.
It's sad to see so many countries that once had such a rich Jewish history now have almost Jews left.
BTW, mods, if you want to merge this with the other threads with the same OP please do. |

While I've come across many polls, the most intrigueing reason is the limits of acceptable public discourse in the US about Israel.
If the majority of the US public opposes Israeli foreign policy, they're awfully quite. |
