Anyone here had one put in?
I have to have my wisdom tooth removed and with the one in front of that gone I will need a screw put in thru the gum (into the jawbone?) It's gonna cost a bit. What I'm wondering is pain. Is there any?

Seoul National University hospital in Hyehwa is expensive, but top of the line and on global (western) standards. Give them a call.

It was a little painful but it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. It's about the same level of pain and overall discomfort as an extraction, possibly less.

I was looking into implants (rather than dentures *ugh*) in Thailand. I know of a hospital in Bangkok that has superb before and after service for such procedures, at a reasonable cost.

I haven't done the research here, so I'm wondering what cost is like here (for comprison).

Thanks guys. Nice to here that it might not be too painful, well, in comparison to other pain. Is there after pain, as well as the initial drilling?
Have a dentist, he's been doing it in the same place near my home for 20 years. He's an implant specialist apparently. 1.7m for the tooth. Goddamn. I don't know what's going to hurt more.

First you have have the screws implanted into your gumline/bone. That takes about a month or so to heal. Then and only then do they actually fit the implant onto the screw. Then another short while for that to heal.
