I'm wondering if anybody has been this way or done this, and could recommend anything? i arrive 2pm and depart after 11pm. |

go to Ba Mien, real good restaurant. Walk around the city, just experience the food and surroundings. you won't have too much time there as the airport is pretty far frmo the city if I remember correctly. |

You'll have to get a visa to get out of the airport. |

For us, Ho Chi Minh City wasn't the most inspiring city - you can check out the Cu Chi Tunnels if tours run from the afternoon, or that big market that I forget the name of (helpful, indeed).
Otherwise, I agree about the walk around, you'll be able to see some old buildings and some of the culture. |
