Once again, are there any open ceramic studios in the Seoul area? Is there a good arts and crafts community center somewhere? I found the Korean Ceramic Society website, couldn't find any links to what I'm looking for.

Any other crafty people out there? Painters, carvers, jewelry makers, glass blowers? Where do you go to get your supplies from?

I am looking for the same thing in Wonju. There is a hanji festival there every year. I am wondering if I can get supplies there, and take classes, instead of having to go into Seoul. It would be fun to have an expat art showing.

My roommate is from Hongdae, and he says there are tons of artists in Hondae. Thus, I would believe there to be an open studio somewhere around there.

Here for future searches:

Onggi Folk Museum

That's probably the tip of the iceberg but at least there's the tip.

hi, i study at a pottery studio in bundang. there are plenty of them here. there are also a few in seoul. pm me if you want to study here. do you know where bundang is?

a show would be great. there was just one at teh orange tree in haebangcheon, next to itaewon. there are plenty of ceramics sites on the daum cafe site and other free korean webpage places like cyworld. maybe you can search.

or go to a bookstore like kyobo and find a korean ceramics arts magazine or craft magazine. in the back people advertise their pottery or other craft studios.
