I'm sure many of you saw this coming a mile away. Months ago I predicted--as did many moderate and conservative pundits on this board and in the media--that the Left would quickly grow disillusioned with Obama after the campaign dust settled and his list of nominees for high office had been made.

Personally, I take this as welcome news. Anyone who's read his two memoirs should know he's more moderate than many in the blogosphere and mainstream media make him out to be. We have his White grandparents to thank for that. And his mother, although much more liberal, was by all accounts an idealist who acted with fairness and good judgment, except in choosing to marry an irresponsible man, but that's another story.

So when do you think the Far Left will write his epitaph?

And more intriguingly, when do you suppose liberals will begin to jump off Obama's bandwagon too?

I think what we have seen is that the far left will always vote Dem and the far right will always vote Rep.

The results is usually in the middle somewhere such as the Neo Con agenda we got with Bush.

With Obama we will see something in the middle as well however I believe at the very least the Neo Con agenda will be extinct.

The Cabinet is fairly left of center but at least a smidgen.

I expect Wesley Clark will be called in at some point between the Iraq withdrawal and the run up the Afghan surge.

It's upto Hillary to ensure that we get the International Community on board for the Afghan surge and it will involve Pakistan.

It's pretty funny when there are more "I told you so" threads than ones by liberals actually saying they are disappointed with Obama.

Some people are clearly talking out their backends with the "I told you so" 2nd grade threads.

I HAVE read both of Obama's books (I'm just finishing the "Dreams") and actually agree with you. If you listened carefully to what he said, he is more moderate that people think he is. The "Obama's a liberal and the world will coming crashing down if he is elected" theme didn't go over very well in the election and that's why McCain/Palin lost badly.

Yes, there are people who are freaking out. I'm sure you can go on to any of the liberal blogs and find post with people complaining about one or more of Obama's appointments. Those who think he's going to push through a far left liberal agenda are sadly mistaken.
