Does anyone know where I could buy a potter's wheel or take pottery classes in Daejeon? I was taking lessons for a couple months from a lady in tanbang-dong, but she wouldn't teach me the wheel, only hand building.
I think I could learn it using the internet as a teacher if I could find a wheel for sale. We'll be here for several years, so I don't mind the investment. |

There's an artist colony up on the mountain west of town. It's even called Pottery Village. Ask around about it. Someone will be able to tell you how to get there. |

There is a cultural center next to Expo (towards the river). its a pyramid looking building. they have pottery classes-and the pics suggest they have wheel throwing.
I used to teach adult classes at FSU-if you get your wheel and need some starters PM me.

Excellent! I thought that building was abandoned; this is much better! I'll check it out today. I pass that building at least once week.
Thanks for the info. |
