I only have 4 pairs of shoes here and 3 are smelling bad. I've put anti-bacterial soap in them and I'm now thinking of washing them. What's your advice? |

Toe-Funk:
Buy some of those charcoal shoe inserts from the shoe shop/repair guys on the street. There is a brand called "Happy Day" that works well, and is pretty cheap. |

From my experience, once they start smelling they are done. Bacteria/fungus has already started growing and there isn't much of a cure. |

tfunk - Try bleach diluted 1 to 50, put it in a spray bottle. Cover the outside of the entire shoe(s) with suran wrap (double it up) and spray the inside of the shoes. Let dry completely and repeat a few times and see what happens. |

They would only smell on the inside of the shoes, right? And who is going to smell the inside of your shoes? |

cedar shoe trees. they suck the moisture out of shoes which is what causes the odour. can be pricey, but worth it for good shoes |

They can work miracles with a pair of mouldy old trainers. |
