How come I can't give my co-teacher a pearl necklace? What is wrong with Korean culture? I thought they like receiving gifts.

Some days I'm just so happy to be American, its so much better than those bastards up north. I mean, I heard they live in underground igloos and come down to the US to buy up our cigarettes and drink our (much superior) beer.

If Korea wants to eradicate nearly all druggies & perverts among the foreign teacher population, it simply needs to restrict E-2 visas to females. Yes, this will lead to short-term chaos and teacher shortages, but the long-term health and safety of society must take priority.
