Can some please educate me on why MMORPG is dam hot right now?
Not a new phenomenon in Korea but seems to be gaining some real traction in the US...Corporate America seems to be salivating at this growing community/service. |

It's a cheap source for hours and hours and hours of mindless fun... Plus everything you've ever read about escaping into an alternate reality where you can make yourself into anyone/thing you want... |

It stands for Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game.
World of Warcraft is an example. |

Because the profits from long term subscriptions can be insane...You can milk an easy $80-$300+ out of the average buyer of your game as opposed to $50 for a non-mmorpg. So as long as it's not a complete failure, you can re-coup your loses long term. |
