Very Happy Any comments on working at Seoul Theological Uni?
Good place to work?
Opportunity for professional development?
Micro-managed?
Restrictive environment?

Any thoughts appreciated.
Thank you.

No thoughts on working there, but their posted salary was shockingly low. Worst in Seoul of those that require a Masters if I am not mistaken.

The school is located in Bucheon, and they require a Master's degree in either English, Education, Applied Linguistics or TESOL. Their salary advertised 6 months or so ago was 27 million a year for 18 hours of teaching a week. Plus, you have to join their church, although I heard they aren't militant about making you attend services.

If you have a Master's, you can do better. (You can do better with a BA and a couple of years relevant experience.) Just up the road is Catholic University - not the greatest gig but certainly an improvement over anything Seoul Theological University has to offer - unless their employment conditions have greatly improved. Just my 20 won.

But you get to learn about the truth and save your sinning soul, so thats got to be good for 500000 a month at least.
