My E-2 visa expires on Tuesday, so it's too late for me to apply for a temporary extension online. Does anyone know if I have to go to the Mokdong office to apply for an extension? Or is there another place I can go that's not so far? (I live near Hongdae.)

Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks!

If it is an actual E2 extension you MUST get it done at the place that issued your ARC.

You should (but no assurance that you in fact can) be able to get a non-working extension at any immigration office.

I got an extension the day before my visa expired at Mokdong before. Bring your plane ticket, ARC card, and passport. I thought it was supposed to be 10,000 Won, but I wasn't charged anything. Mokdong really isn't far from Hongdae either.

Thanks to both of you for replying. I'll go to Mokdong tomorrow.

Louiloui, I'm glad you mentioned that the immigration office isn't that far away for me. Turns out I had the wrong address and thought it was way further away than it acutally is!
