The girl in the video was beaten for "acting White". I act White every moment of everyday. How safe am I?
Barack Obama has said if you hate White people, its OK by him if you want to kill them and you won't get any extra penalties. This really bothers me.
Is this a hate crime? Is it OK to beat up people that act Jewish? What are the rules about beating a black person because you hate black people while you are a black person?
This is ethnic cleansing. |

Well, historically, the case can be made that for a long time, crimes against blacks in the U.S. were punished less severely - and less fairly - then crimes committed by blacks against whites.
However, I personally don't see the need to have any "hate crime" category. The laws should apply equally as far as possible, but it is well known that those with more economic means tend to get more "justice" than those who are poor. |

Um, as a white person I object to you claiming your behavior is white. It is not. Had you said, "I act stupid every moment of everyday" I would not have objected. True white people do not have a need to call attention to their whiteness. Dolts and trolls do, but authentic white people don't. |

| A few years back I saw a black stand-up comic in Washington Square "do" a white guy. He borrowed the props from the audience--white guy glasses, an attache case, newspaper etc. He was halarious and had the audience (mostly white people) in stitches. |

Thank you Rufus, I never know what to do when it comes to capitalizing the concepts black or white as it relates to people. I don't think its covered in the "Elements of Style". |
