Hi,
I'm going to be moving back to Ireland soon and I want to know if my Korean ps3 will work at home. As far as I know, Korean TVs and ps3s are NTSC, Irish ones are PAL. I think with new HDTVs there is no compatibilty issue however my parents TV is pretty old and just SDTV. Any advice? |

Here's the info on PS3 output resolutions direct from the source:
http://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/ps3/current/settings/videooutput.html
Most European TVs are both NTSC and PAL compatible, I had a regular telly that could play north american Ps1 games over ten years ago, so I think you should be okay. The only problme was that if i forgot to use a SCART connector, then the picture was in black and white. |
