Storybook suggestions for kids' class

I teach mostly adults, but I have one kids' class that I see 4 times a week for 40 minutes a class. It's a tiny class, consisting of just 2 boys who are in grades 5 and 6. We're nearing the end of Side by Side 2 and I'll probably switch them to Side by Side 3 when we finish.
My boss has suggested we add a storybook, and so I'd appreciate any suggestions you might have. They're good kids, but they love computer games so their favorite English words are probably "kill," "die," and "sniping." So I don't think a cute little fairy tale will interest them.
I'm in a small city nowhere near Seoul, so there's no big bookstore for me to go to browse titles.
I'd appreciate if you could suggest a few titles you think they might enjoy as well as any ideas about using story books in class (e.g. 10 minutes every day, twice a week, etc.) At my last school, my boss wanted me teaching the storybook for about 10 minutes every day and you could tell the kids were just sick of it.

Thank you

Graphic novels?

Just read and talk about a couple pages with them each class -- from the sounds of your students, they will prob go ahead independently outside class with a graphic novel and you could just be answering questions about what they read at home.

I've taught this age group before and what they go for is "content" - I wouldn't go for a storybook unless it was really goofy. (like Diary of a grade 4 nothing)

Guinness book of world records they'd devour. See my blog post here about using it. http://ddeubel.edublogs.org/2010/04/14/using-the-guinness-world-records-book-as-a-textbook/

However, on EFL Classroom are hundreds of audio books or leveled readers. Lots that could interest them and I'd recommend if possible with EFL students, to use audio books.

Cheers,

DD
