If its a private uni and they have you enrolled in a private pension plan - which means you probably also are not enrolled in the national pension plan and your losing even more of your potential income - so when you complete your employment with that uni, they will refund your private pension contributions and that also counts as your severance. And, yes, unfortunately it's legal.

I don't get a severance, but the perks of the job FAR outweigh that financial compensation. Severance pay is the reward for a year of ambiguity, deskwarming, level test-uh, and all the other little pangs you have to deal with. I surrender that pay for awesome and appreciative coworkers and students, a complete lack of pressure for anything, a whopping vacation, my own office, free gifts, and actual sympathy and time off if and when I have a medical situation that puts me out of work for a day. Of course, that's just me and it probably isn't the same for everyone.

Does that also include your pick of the slutty girls in your class? or is that sort of thing 'frowned upon' by the admin? Confused

LOL no, I don't touch ANY of the girls at work, slutty or pure. It's unethical and unprofessional.
