Seems like the crap western economies have disgorged a lot of grads this way, but what Korea needs right now is experienced, hassle-free teachers and is willing to pay for it. I just turned down a job in a study room for 2.4M/mo. for 3 hours/day. No prep, meetings, CBC, apostille or any other ridiculous hoop jumping. My friend just got an after school job: 4.5 hours/day for 3.2M/mo. The recruiter told me many schools don't want to deal with the hassles of getting E-2 workers. These aren't isolated incidents either, check Craigslist and you'll see lots of great jobs everyday. I knew this would happen, these new E-2 regulations were a knee-jerk reaction to a couple of unfortunate headlines. Now even employers want to go back to fast, red-tape free employees.

Point me in the direction of these jobs, I'm in the F2 posse and I'm looking for a decent gig to get me out of this public school BS.

Sounds good to me. F2's usually have more experience, so that could account for some of the differential too.

cj I used to work PS. Now I just teach privates and I make more money, with no BS.
