Let's say your name is John Doe, and you teach university students here. What do you ask them to call you?

- Professor Doe
- Professor John
- Doe Teacher
- John Teacher
- Mr. Doe
- John
- something else?

I introduce myself to them by my first name, but they end up calling me a variety of different things. Most commonly my first name, teacher or professor. Honestly, it doesn't matter, just go with the flow unless you are overweight, anal and unhappy like my coworker and can force them to call you Mrs. Doe and will end up getting low evaluations because you walk around with an indignant on your face.

Mine mostly call me by my first name, and I prefer that.

"John" Teacher. Sometimes the call me Professor "John" but that is usually when they want something like to be absent.

John for graduate students, teacher training...older students in general

Professor, the same as they call their Korean professors.

Why do you let them all you "teacher" when you know it's wrong? Isn't your job to teach them correct English? If one of them studies abroad and calls their professor by their first name or 'teacher' it might cause some problems. But they'll never know since you never told them.
