Considering taking a position with Iksan SLP for 2.2 million a month. Does anyone have any experience with this school? |

Seriously over worked and underpaid.
The devil is in the details (READ THE CONTRACT) and for someone who has been here a while you should know better.
When you come back 3 months from now to complain about it I WILL be among the 1st to jump in a say, "I told you so."

I've know quite a few teachers that have taught there (in Iksan). Just imagine working for the same or less pay than everybody else and having to do the occasional Saturday. No one really stresses it until they are a few months in.
In short, if you're not a married couple (both western), you will find it hard to justify the extra hours for no pay. If you are married, life won't be that bad.
BTW... there is a reason why many foreigners call it the Slave Labor Program.
Before you sign, make sure the contract specifies no weekend work or you will be wasting an awesome chance of discovering a new country. |
