Hey guys, I just have a simple question about the physicals:

I have a perforated ear drum. It's not a big deal, and I didn't mention it during the interview, etc.

However, with my departure soon approaching, I've been getting worried that it might prove problematic during the physical.

Sorry if this is a waste of space. I'm just getting jittery; I have such bad luck that it wouldn't be surprising it caused me problems.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

There's no ear drum test on the physical.

Blood, urine, chest x-ray, weight, eyesight test. Easy peasy.

Thanks for the info, guys. I've been really nervous about the whole thing. I have unusually crappy luck, so I get a smidge anxious. I'd really like this job to go well, you know?

Luckily, I've already rubbed kim chi on my AIDS, so I should be good to go.

I have lazy eye, am I good to go?

They do a hearing test (well they did at the hospital I went to) and I have a touch of industrial deafness, but like was already stated, if you aren't deaf then you should be fine. They WANT you to pass!!

Also, my eyesight is far from perfect even with my glasses, but you'd have to be significantly disadvantaged to fail the test.

I had the hearing test done too.

The eye test is done with your glasses or contacts in (had it done once with my contacts and then the next year i had glasses on)...kind of seemed ineffective to me...of course I can read all the lines...my vision is being corrected...
