hi there,

i've just started buying coffee beans and getting them ground. but i need help with some korean so i can get the right grind (first time went well, but second time not so much). does anyone know the korean for the following:

coarse grind
medium grind
fine grind
superfine grind

Maybe tell them what kind of coffee maker you'll be using? It's worked for me as most know the names.

You sound like such a coffee snob, I love it. but anyway I use Google translation a lot, like for everything. My bank, doctor and dentist have all been very impressed with the sheets of paper I've handed them with Google translation. Cool

A real coffee snob grinds his or her own right before brewing. A French Press gives you the full flavor of the bean and the beans should be ground rather coursely for this method. Water at 100 degrees Celsius, Brew for 4 minutes before pressing the plunger down.

100 degrees? Blasphemy!

To the OP, I doubt normal stores have such a large variation of coarseness. If it's that important for you I would also suggest you buy your own grinder as it will make a bigger difference.
