|
|
It suddenly dawned on me the other day that as American accents are preferable over in Korea, should it be assumed that American spelling is also going to be the standard?
I get annoyed on a daily basis by Word trying to correct realise to realize, colour to color, centre to center etc etc, should i be taking note of these and following american spelling only, or does it not really make a difference?
I'm currently studying TEFL and brushing up on my GCSE English basics, so i cna add American spelling to my list of things to revise as well if its worth it.
I've been reading this every day but it doesnt seem to be helping..

They prefer North American accents; there are tons of Canadians here using the same spelling you do. |

You'll be fine mate. Just figure out what the boss wants between the two and you're sussed. |

If you are from a country that uses British spelling, then use it. I always resist American imperialism whenever I can. |
