I need to throw out an old bed (base and mattress) - I've never thrown out anything quite this large before. I've heard about the 'collection stickers' you need to use and such - Where do I get one of those - or shall I just dump it and wait for someone less fortunate to take it away?

It depends where you live. You need to get the sticker from the town office in your neighborhood. I don't know how to find out where your office is. It depends on your address. I found mine by going to the wrong one and the people there helped me find it. (In Haebangchon it's at the top of the hill by the police station.)

I wouldn't just dump it. It's only like 10k to throw out a bed, but the fine if you get caught dumping it is a lot more. Give it away if you can, but even the most desperate person isn't going to want a bed they found on the side of the road.

In all of the places I have lived in Seoul the security manager always has a few of the stickers that they will sell you if you ask for them.

Also, you can contact a 2nd hand store if the piece isnt too worn out, they will often come and take it for free.

Yeah I know where it is (helps to have good Korean) - just checking to see if that's what I need to do! Cheers.
