"South Koreans still have not overcome nationalism, the country-first attitude and the tendency to prioritize economic benefits over truth or ethics."
Wow, that sounds exactly like...The United States! |

Would you make twice the money if the result was that you'd be twice as miserable? |

With the 2005 article in Science, Hwang was put on a pedestal. Media and politicians united to wax lyrical about Hwang. Drunk on acclamation, Hwang promised to cure a famous singer who was paralyzed from the waist down after a traffic accident.
"He began to gain an image of religious revivalist," Ryu said. "In the past, he was just a scientist with some bluff."
But they could not leave without a letter of recommendation. Without it, no employer or graduate school would accept them. To get one, they had to deliver the results that Hwang wanted, Ryu said.
Cloning whistleblower: Little changed in S. Korea

Its all so typical of how little korean men act the moment they get into power- be they managers, ceos, presidents, or directors. They use their authority only for personal advancement, they act unethically, they try to fuel a personality cult around themselves. And all without having any skill or talent whatsoever. They exist on hype, they are warped by out of control egotism.
Anyone with a basic understanding of psychiatry can see that korean males are usually raised in such a way as to make them suffer narcissistic personality disorder. Thats not a joke, its a clinical reality. |
