One of my students is about 35 and I am 29. People tell me that older korean women will never go anywhere near yonger men.
Is this true anybody got any experience of dating an older chick in korea!? |

| No personal experience but I know at least a dozen couples where the woman (Korean) is older than the man (non-Korean). In fact, even taking Korean age into account, I don't think I know any where the man is older than the women and only 2 where they're the same age. |

Not true.
Korean women will date younger western men. No problem at all.
There is an age when the woman is around 26-29 where she is very marriage-minded and extremely particular with who she dates - doesn't want to waste time.
But if they are in their 30s.. that thinking goes out the window.. and anyone is fair game. |

| A 35 year old cougar? 35 isn't "older". If she's a student, I doubt she's a cougar, anyway.... Unless you work in Kangnam... |

| yeah, i'd say older woman/younger man is really common. you know, one day they turn 40 and they finally move out of their parent's house and look out world! Here comes Eunji and she's ready to party! |

i hear that most of the trainers at my gym are having affairs with some of the (dead beautiful) cougarmmas.
i have a hunch that it would be a lot of fun and probably devoid of some of the drama of the more youthful. as it always is. |

well, that was pleasant. but i don't agree with the "desperate to get a ring on the finger" thing. maybe from korean dudes, but not so much from foreigners. i think older women (28 and up) are more likely to take things lightly than younger women. they seen the ups and downs and have looked at love from both sides now (like joni mitchell would say) and are a lot cooler in a lot of ways.
plus korean people tend to look like they're 15 until they turn 35 when they suddenly begin to look 40. |
