Go and do something different with another person. Small trips can change my whole weekend. Go to Everland. Go to a city youve never been to. Go to yet another temple.

I find just getting out of the house helps, and its even better to go somewhere unfamiliar with some company.

Best thing I usually find is to get out and do something active. I often find hiking really good if I'm feeling a bit low, getting out of the city and exercising at the same time. Unfortunately, it's starting to get a bit chilly for too much hiking at the moment. Like sheba mentioned, small trips away from your hometown to somewhere different can be great for lifting your mood a bit.

Buy several bunches of flowers and put them in every room of your house. Try it! It's cool! It's inexpensive!

Take a trip (in or out of Korea).

Try something different (new activity).

Take classes.

Read new books.

As for me, I have several activities that keep me from having the blues. I stay active and my son is what I would call the ultimate anti-blues element! He keeps me smiling.

I also got involved in the community here. I play korean chess on sundays with the old guys at the park. I take classes (Korean and other topics) and read up on new things.

look in the mirror and ask yourself!! where am I going? what are my goals? once you answer those questions you wont feel blue!

now feeling bored.. thats another story...
weekend trips, which sound great but I never do wish I did.. Ive owned a car for 5 years too hahahaha well I worked weekends for 3 of them and the last two years was to tired from drinking.. and now.. I just cant be bothered..
watch movies., take short trips around town. thats what I do.. end up being more boring than staying home hahahaha
call up some of your old friends from high school or a few years ago..
that will cheer you up!!!

I recommend binge drinking with strangers at bars, followed by mindless, non-committal sex. Then full and detailed postings about it all, right here on this thread.

No, it might not help you deal with the blues, but it's guaranteed to bring happiness to countless thousands of others.

loud music to sing and dance around to at home (definitely NOT the kind you find in the loops in the bars and clubs)

shopping

good deeds, random gift giving

alcohol and chocolate

yes, once again, one night stands

lots of sleeping

You ask people who are on prescription medication to share.
