Has anyone here flown on China Airlines?

What can I expect if I choose them to fly me to Bangkok?

Two stop-overs in Taipei! Laughing

I used them a couple of times between Taipei and Seoul and once Taipei to Amsterdam vv.

All in all, I found 'em OK. cabin service was - of course - much better than Eurpoean or US airlines, but sitting for 12 hours in a semi-pressurised aluminium tube is hardly a natural experience.

I think that's who I flew to Qingdao with.

Just another airline, they gave me some so-so food and didn't crash. If I want in-flight entertainment I take a book.

Didn't actually fly with them back from Thailand but was waitlisted. The flight from Bangkok leaves at 7.30 am (which is a tad early for me) and there is a 5 hour stopover in Taipei on the way back to Seoul. They are also considerably cheaper than Thai which does not inspire confidence. Pay the extra and fly with Thai.

I've flown China Airlines several times back and forth to the US out of Bangkok. No problems, a safe and comfortable flight. Friendly stewardesses, decent food, in flight movies. I would recommend them and will use them again.

the one good thing about that airline is that you can smoke in the back near the toilets in coach.

i flew with china air from bangkok to the states and overall it was a pretty good flight. i thought the food was a little worse than what you get with other airlines, but the entertainment options seemed better. they do have a reputation for crashing a lot though, which is probably something you might want to consider.
