Hey there university employees,
I'm sorry if this seems like a stupid question, but I'm applying for a university job (which I've never done before) and I wanted to be sure that I don't screw my application up.
As part of my application for a university conversational English instructor, I have to include the following:
- Cover letter
- Resume with a recent photo
- College diploma and transcripts
- Copy of inside passport page with date of birth and nationality shown
- Reference(s)

My question is this: Does "reference" in this situation mean "letter of reference," or would just providing their names and addresses be sufficient? I didn't find out about this job until just before the deadline so I'm not sure if my references will have time to write me letters.

I've foudn that it usually means letters of reference in Korea.

But in your case, if you don't have much time, I think supplying names, position/title and contact numbers/addresses, should be sufficient.
