He's a rather ugly character, but I don't believe he should have been jailed. Free speech also means having to listen to crap you don't like, and anyone is free to discredit his 'work.' |

Quite true. Jailed, he becomes a martyr - free he remains a laughingstock. |

Well said. However, I can't help but have a bit of sympathy for such laws in the home of Nazism. If your nation has few movie theaters and little in the way of a culture of movie going, yelling fire in a theater might seem more to you like a matter of free speech and up for debate. However where a glorification of a Nazi past is a real threat, I can't help but feel in those limited places holocaust denial is tantamount to yelling fire in a theater. |
