Hi,
Can I extend my tourist Visa (actually not a visa, just a stamp) in-country? I had a job, ended in May, came back on a tourist visa (USA), and it expires Saturday. I have a job lined up finally, but not til next week. Can I go to Immigration, explain, and get a few days added on to my tourst 'stamp?'
Or will I be stuck going to Japan Friday, then have to go again next week when the school processes my papers?
Thanks |

You can drop into an immigration office, fill in an application and pay the VISA fee and get the additional 60 days that a C3 tourist visa would have had.
I think you need to take a passport type photo as well. |

You can do this assuming you are an American. They only get 30 days initially upon arrival in Korea. |

You should try to get it extended anyhow. I had my tourist visa extended a day before the 30 days was up. |
