Has anyone here kept an account open after they left? What are the laws on that? |

You can do it. Just don't close it. The bank will not know if you are gone for good or not. Why would a bank care if you left money in it for them to use?
For complete rules about closing your account from overseas, ask the bank. |

What do you mean by *non-resident*.
Even if you are here for a year, you are classes as a resident and you can open an account, as long as you have an ARC. |

I kept an account open for five years with less than 10,000 won. No problem. |
