Coudd you please tell me why you use "isn't" but not "wasn't" in the following :

--Look! Somebody has broken a glass.
--Well, it isn't me. I didn't do that.

No, you have it wrong. You should say, "It wasn't me" in this case.
The glass is already broken. It has happened in the past, so you use wasn't.

If someone asks, for example, " Who is making that noise?" You can answer, "It isn't me."
