Hi, everyone
Please look at the passega below.
"...In the US, two billion tons of animal manure is produced every year-that equals five tons of animal waste for every citizen. This sewage often ends up in nearby lakes and streams. No wonder that animal agricultural pollution accounts for one-third of the surface water pollution in the US.
In this passage, what does "animal agricultural pollution" mean?
Is it a kind of "pollution caused by animal manure"?
Or a kind of "pollution caused by animal manure and agricultural chemicals such as pesticide"?

It is pollution caused by animal manure.
If it said "agricultural pollution" it could be chemicals such as pesticide. Also, the first two sentences explain what the author was referring to. |
