Hello.

Please kindly let me know if the below sentence makes sense;

'There are two files named A and B.'

I would like to make it mean that one of them is called A and the other one is B.

Sorry your sentence doesn�t really make sense to me.

I would like to make it mean?? that one of them is called A and the other one is B.

'There are two files named A and B.'

I want to create a sentence to mean "One of the files is called A and the other is B.", however, I want to start it with "There are two files.." as the above.
Does the sentence actually mean what I want to say?

If you want to make it more precise, try to add 'respectively' as follows:

'There are two files respectively named A and B.'
