A: Hey buddy! How's it going?
B: Oh hi!
- "How's it going?" in this situation means " hello" or "How are you?"?
Thanks very much!

it means "how are you" but it doesn't directly mean "hello" _________________ If I say "I love you" to someone, then I also have to say "I also love everyone else inside you, I love the whole world because of you, I also love myself inside you." -- Erich Fromm, the Art of Love |

That becomes a bit philosophical, though.
"How are you?" probably means "Hello." more often than it really means "How are you?" |
