Hello,

'As soon as she entered the room, she knew there was something wrong.'

Could we use 'when' or 'the moment' instead of 'as soon as' here as in:

'When she entered the room, she knew there was something wrong.'
or
'The moment she entered the room, she knew there was something wrong.'

'When she entered the room, she knew there was something wrong.' Okay
Or
'No later than the moment she entered the room, she knew there was something wrong.'
Or
��She knew there was something wrong� shortly after �she entered the room.��

I can accept "The moment she entered the room, she knew there was something wrong." as the exact same meaning as "As soon as she entered the room, she knew there was something wrong."

"When she entered the room, she knew there was something wrong." is a good sentence, but to me it doesn't emphasize the immediacy.

"No later than the moment she entered the room...." sounds funny to me.

They are basically the same. It's just that "The moment/As soon as" emphasizes that it happened exactly at the moment she entered the room.

Interesting question. These are not grammar questions, but usage questions. To me, "Once I got home....and "When I got home..." are the same, but someone else might have a different idea.

Heh. Be careful you don't make a rule about this. This is my feeling about it. For me, "on" is the same as "when". They are all really the same, you know. Just a little feeling of difference. They are all correct English.
