It's not a very clear sentence, but I think it means that if you take your goals one at a time in the correct order, you will appreciate the experience. If you don't do it that way, then you won't enjoy the experience.

The paragraph is not well written. and was probably not written by a fluent speaker.

When you set your goals and pursue them, you see the steps you want to take and sometimes try to skip the ones that are less exciting. But stepping out of order is ultimately frustrating and useless. Take your goals one at a time, and appreciate the process as you move forward. Otherwise you won't. (you won't move forward)
