Evidence is information indicating whether a belief or proposition is true or valid.
In law it is information from personal testimony, documents, or a material object used to establish facts in a legal investigation or admissible as testimony in a law court.
Proof is evidence that establishes a fact or the truth of a statement.
It may take many pieces of evidence to prove something. |
