One definition for spell is short period of time. "Why don't you come in and sit a spell?" is a fairly common way to invite someone in for a visit, especially in the South U.S.

A spell is also a witch's incantation.

And pop in means drop in or go inside.

So the Green One was making a little pun, a puny pun.

Not much of a joke, but then pretty good for an ogre.
