Hello, teachers!!

(1) Do you have some milk?

(2) Do you have any milk?

Which is better, (1) or (2) when you use it in everyday conversation? In addition, do you find any differences between (1) and (2)?

Thank you in advance.

They both have the same meaning (do you have milk?) and both are correct.
(2) is more common/natural.

Hello Learner -

2006 is correct regarding 'everyday/common' usage of some/any.

However...what may have become acceptable in 'common' usage might not be acceptable when sitting an exam.

Please review 'count (countable) and noncount (uncountable) nouns
and when to use some and any (pay special attention to 'yes' and 'no'
answers. Philo

Dear 2006
Philo Kevetch

Thank you so much for your explanations. Thanks to you, I almost removed the barriers of both meanings.

Have a great day!!
