|
|
Hello,
Most universities have different opening times during the term and during the holiday.
Opening Times
Term time: 09:00-18:00
XXXX: 10:00-16:00
What is the word I am looking for? Is ther such a word as "Term break"? Or is it better for me to use "Vacation"?
Thank you,
Nawee |

Dear Nawee: Yes 'Term break' is the correct word for your XXXX. But, instead of 'Opening Times', I would use 'Hours of Operation'. 'Opening' refers to the 'act of opening', not 'being open'. You want to show what hours the place 'is open'. You could also use 'Open Times', but 'Hours of Operation' is more commonly used. Ok? -- Eric |

Thank you for your reply, Eric.
Instead of Hours of Operation, can I use "Opening Hours" instead? This is going to be added to the website and we have rather limited space.
Thank you,

Better than that, just say "hours":

| Dear Nawee: No, don't use 'Opening Hours'. If you have limited space, you can shorten 'Hours of Operation' to 'Hours', like CP said. -Eric |
