When you hit a nail on the head with a hammer, you are driving the nail.
A nail is not a screw, and you can't drive a nail with a screwdriver. A screw has a ridge spiraling up the length of the shaft and a slot or crossshaped slot on the head for the screwdriver to fit into. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |

To drive simply means to make it go forward. So you drive a nail with a hammer, you drive a screw with a screwdriver, and you drive cattle with a cowboy. |

So true. For that matter, you drive a team of horses with a whip, and you drive a hard bargain with ruthlessness. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
