Hello, teachers. Could you help me?
The following sentences are correct, right?
1. It takes 10 minutes from here to the station.
2. The station is 10 minutes' walk from here.
How about this one? Does it sound correct or awkward?
"10 minutes' walk takes you to the station from here."
Thanks in advance.

#1 is correct as long as the speaker and the other person(s) know what means of travel is being talked about..
#2 is not very good. 'The station is a ten-minute walk from here.' is the usual way to say it.
The last one again is awkward. 'A ten-minute walk takes you to the station from here.' is much better. |

Dear 2006
Thank you for your quick reply.
I really appreciate it.
It's really difficult to master English...
Anyway, thanks very much again.
Yukineko. |
