We have "Labor Thanlksgiving Day" in Japan.
If we had a special day when we think about the importance of our family and express the gratitude for our family, would it be OK to name the day "Family Thanksgiving Day"?
Does the name make sense?
How about "Thanks For One's Family Day"? Does it sound strange?

Thank you in advance!

.
As a longtime resident of Japan, I have always found the translation 'Labor Thanksgiving Day' very odd. A better name would be 'Labor Appreciation Day', which in the US is simply the 'Labor Day' holiday. By the same token, the holiday you suggest would be most succinctly expressed as 'Family Day' or if you need more, 'Family Appreciation Day'.

As you may know, the US and Canada also have a distinct 'Thanksgiving Day', which celebrates the bounty of harvest, and this may contribute to the confusion I find in the name 'Labor Thanksgiving Day', which sounds like a portmanteau holiday to me.
