Dear teachers!!
When you hear the sentence "Tom has his office in town," what do you have in mind? I mean,
(1) Does Tom have his office in downtown?
(2) Does Tom have his office in a big city?
(3) Does Tom have his office in a small city?
Thank you in advance. |

Hi Learner12,
It most likely means that Tom has his office in town instead of out of town. For example, if this conversation was in San Francisco, the person is saying that Tom's office is in San Francisco.
