Hi.

Please kindly answer my question.
When the first noun is plural, the related noun which comes after it should be also plural in the sentence like below?

"Many people in the country go to school to become massagers."

Is "become a massager" wrong?

Yes. A masseur or masseuse (male or female) is a person who gives professional massages. I guess if you have a friend who gives you a massage, you could call him/her a massager - but not someone who does it as a professional.

Hi Bud.

Thanks for your reply.
But basically it does not matter if the word is 'massager' or not.
I just wanted to ask if we should always put a plural in that sentence after 'people'. So it should be 'teachers', 'lawyers', 'painters' or whatever as a plural from?

I'm sorry, I misunderstood your question. Yes, it should be plural.
