They are both adjectives but the meanings are different. "satisfying" means making someone satisfied, that is making them happy or pleased.
' That was a very satisfying (experience)(meal).'
Of course, "satisfying" also is a continuous tense verb.
"satisfactory" means 'adequate, acceptable, good enough.' His work is not excellent, but it is satisfactory. |
