Printed books will continue to be used, despite computer technology.

May I change the "continue" into "survive"?
Printed books will survive to be used, despite computer technology.
If not, why isn't the word "survive" a good choice?

Learner12, you could definitely say:
Printed books will survive, despite computer technology.
That's a better sentence than the original ("continue to be used"), in my opinion.
I'm not sure about "... survive to be used..." Even if it is grammatical, it's awkward sounding. |
